Admission Procedure at UCSI University Kuala Terengganu Campus

Step 1: Register Online
The Online Registration Form is to be completed by applicants. To register, click here. Prior to registering, you are advised to check on your eligibility status with the University counsellors.

Kindly upload the softcopies of the following documents:
  1. Academic Qualifications:

    • Academic transcripts and completion certificate(s)
      • In the event that these documents are not published in English, applicants are to provide copies of the original and the official English-translated versions.
    • Transfer students from other institutions
      • If applicants are seeking credit exemptions, additional documents such as the final transcript, programme syllabus and portfolio (if any) are required.
    • For Postgraduate Applications, kindly include
      • Curriculum Vitae (CV) or Résumé.
      • A two-three page essay (i.e. your personal statement) in relation to:
        • Your goals and objectives
        • How this programme will meet or enhance those objectives.

  2. Copy of Passport
    • Passport validity must not be less than 12 months from the date of admission/submission to the university.
    • All pages of the passport – including the cover page – are required (in colour)
    • Please ensure that the page numbers of your passport are visible.

  3. Copy of passport-sized photographs
    • In colour, with blue background
    • Photograph measurement: Height (5cm) and Width (3cm)
  4. Medical Report Form (Completed by registered clinic/hospital in the home country). Refer to the list of countries requiring to submit the Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate.
  6. Accommodation Application Form (if required)
    • To be enclosed with a non-refundable booking fee of RM500 (USD 170).
    • Booking fee must be paid together with registration fee.

    Note: These new fees are applicable starting 25th September 2014.

    The application fees quoted above are inclusive of EMGS payment and are applicable to all international students. The University shall proceed with the visa application on behalf of the student, once payment and all required documents are received.

    ** In addition to Application Fee for respective programme, Indonesian students are required to pay RM 300 as payment of 2 years visa & I-Kad under EMGS guidelines. This condition applies to programmes that have duration of more than 1 year.

    Application fee is based on the exchange rate of 1USD=RM3.00. This exchange rate is subject to change.

    *Any surplus in payment, including bank charges shall be credited into the student’s tuition fee account.

Step 2: Letter of Admission
Upon meeting the entry requirements and receiving the payment (Application Fee and EMGS Visa Processing Fee), the University will email a scanned copy of the Letter of Admission (LoA) to the student. The University will then proceed to apply for the Visa Approval Letter on behalf of the student. This process will take approximately 30 days.

Step 3: UCSI University Sends VAL
When remittance of the Initial Fees and Miscellaneous Fees (as stated in the LoA including total rental and deposit for staying at the Residential Hall) have been credited into UCSI University's bank account via Telegraphic Transfer (refer to Step 1), UCSI University will courier the original LoA and Visa Approval Letter (VAL) to the students (upon request to vpu@ucsiuniversity.edu.my). The original copy is required to obtain the Endorsement Visa from the Malaysian Embassy in your country and needs to be validated at the Immigration Counter upon arrival in Malaysia. Please ensure that your correct mailing address, including your postcode, is provided.

Step 4: Journey to UCSI University Kuala Terengganu Campus
You are required to pre-book your flight tickets with direct transfer from Kuala Lumpur to Terengganu on the same day of arrival. You may click on the following airlines for the details of flight schedules from Kuala Lumpur to Terengganu: You will need to fill in the Airport Pick-Up Services Form and email it to pickup@ucsiuniversity.edu.my for transportation arrangements.

Step 5: Welcome to UCSI University, Kuala Terengganu Campus
A driver will be assigned to pick you up upon your arrival at the airport. Once you arrived at UCSI University Kuala Terengganu Campus, you will proceed to check into the University’s Residential Hall.
