Faculty of Engineering, Technology & Built Environment

UCSI School of Architecture and Built Environment (SABE) was born in 2005, at the suburban area of Cheras, Malaysia. Taking pride in architecture and interior architecture education and with such passion, decided to take on a challenging path by embracing the Joint Productive Activity as effective pedagogy.

UCSI SABE commitment to continuous improving architectural education is to prepare the future generation of the architecture profession to the global community, making alignment between the profession and the academy, creating that sweet spot. It is a choice that the school of architecture and built environment now have, to re-energize professional education. “Mentoring” and “Learning in Action” is characteristic of UCSI’s SABE learning environment, where the pedagogy married the formal “schooled” or “scientific” ideas with real world experience to achieve the highest level of academic achievement.

Learning by doing, hands on programs, cooperative education and the like may be difficult, but its value cannot be denied. The best way to acquire the necessary understanding of how buildings are made is by practicing the art and science rather than just studying it.

UCSI SABE provides the complete academic pathway (Foundation, Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree) for students to fulfil the Professional Architect requirements of Lembaga Arkitek Malaysia (LAM).
