The practice of nursing is evolving due to the changing demands of the healthcare industry. The Master of Nursing programme has been designed for nurse clinicians to enhance their individual specialty knowledge and competence whilst working in their selected area of specialisation such as adult health nursing, community health nursing, maternal and child health nursing, paediatric nursing, or mental health nursing.

Theoretical and practical knowledge that are academically challenging and professionally relevant have been integrated into clinical projects to enable the development of advanced clinical thinking and the use of evidence-based interventions that would lead to positive patient outcomes. The students will participate in clinical research that can influence and contribute to the development of nursing.
Qualifications Academic Requirements
Basic degree in nursing.
  1. A minimum of CGPA 3.0
  2. Registered with Malaysian Nursing Board or its equivalent.
  3. Possess a current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC).
  4. Minimum three (3) years working experience.
International (non-Malaysian) candidates are required to:
  • Be registered with Nursing Board / Council from country of origin.
  • Obtain a Temporary Practicing Certificate (TPC)
  • Pass the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) with a minimum score of 6.5 (OR)
  • Pass the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) with a minimum score of 600.

Master’s nursing programs prepares individuals for a variety of advanced roles in administration, teaching, research, informatics, and direct patient care. Nurses at this level are in high demand as clinical nurse leaders, nurse managers, nurse educators, health policy consultants and nurse researchers.
