The Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design embraces a philosophy that respects the lineage of design while keeping in mind the demanding needs of design for tomorrow’s industry. Focusing on conceptual problem-solving, creativity, formal design and even cutting-edge design for multimedia, the programme’s curriculum revolves around the practice of design. This is backed by our Design Philosophy – one that advocates transcending the boundaries of innovation.

STPM Minimum 2 Principals (NGMP 2.00) (min Grade C)
A-Level Minimum 2 Principals (E)
UEC Minimum 5 Credits (B6)
International Baccalaureate Minimum score of 26/42 in 6 subjects
National matriculation Minimum CGPA 2.0
Other qualifications deemed equivalent to STPM/A-Level by Malaysian Qualifications Agency Minimum Average 60%
Foundation Minimum CGPA 2.0
Diploma Minimum CGPA 2.0
STAM Pass (Pangkat Jayyid)

Other qualifications deemed equivalent to SPM/O-Level by Malaysian Qualifications Agency Minimum Overall Average of 60%

English Requirements
  • A distinction (A+, A or A-) in the English Language subject at SPM/UEC level; or MUET Band 5; or a score of 196 (computer-based) / 525 (writing-based) / 69-70 (internet-based) in TOEFL; or Band 5.5 in IELTS.
  • In the event that the English Language Requirements are not met, student may be required to undertake additional English module(s) prior to or concurrently with the undergraduate programme, based on the University’s decision.
* International students holding equivalent academic qualifications but which are not conducted in English, are required to sit for the English Placement Test, which may result in the taking of the English Enrichment Programme (1 to 10 months). Students who intend to pursue the above undergraduate programme directly, are advised to fulfil the above English requirements prior to commencing their studies at the University.
Note / Legend Discretion is given to the Head of School to decide on applicants whose academic results are borderline to the entry requirements.
