Responsibilities
  • Directs, coordinates and governs all functions related to safety testing, repair, and maintenance of biomedical patient care equipment. 
  • Provides training and technical leadership to appropriate patient care personnel regarding equipment operations, standards, and maintenance. 
  • Supports the equipment needs of all specialty areas including Radiology, Clinical Pathology, Respiratory Therapy, and others. 
  • Work with scientists and specialists to research the biological systems of humans and animals and apply that knowledge to new medical procedures and products. 
  • Design, test and implement new processes for creating biomedical equipment, products and surgical procedures. 
  • Install, maintain and repair biomedical equipment. Train personnel on the proper use of biomedical equipment. 
  • Supports and resolves issues with project teams. Acquires or builds the tools necessary to design, build and maintain biomedical signal processing systems.


Requirements
  • At least five (5) years of related experience.
  • Must be able to make decisions to resolve problems quickly.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Pro-active and self motivated, with the ability to work independently as well as participate within the team.
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, possess a mature attitude and a good team player.
  • Possess own transport.
