Capsule Biography

Dr. Rana Muhammad Sohail Jafar (Ph.D.) is a postdoctoral researcher of Management and Information Systems, at UCSI Graduate Business School, UCSI University, Malaysia. Prior to his academic career, he was a senior IT Executive at Pakistan’s Largest Telecommunication Company Private Limited (PTCL, Pvt. Ltd.) for 2 years.

Dr. Rana received his Doctor of philosophy (PhD.) in Management Science & Economics Decisions from Shenzhen University, Shenzhen China in 2020, Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Economics & Management Sciences from Fujian Agriculture & Forestry University, Fuzhou, China, BS in Information Technology from the PMAS- University of Arid Agriculture, Rawalpindi, Pakistan. BA Mass Communications from Alma Iqbal Open University Islamabad. Furthermore, He has obtained CCNA, CCNP, and MCITP certifications from University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore, Pakistan.

Dr. Rana’s research interests include Metaverse technology, information systems, social media, consumers’ behaviors, digital marketing, and ecommerce. He has published more than 25 papers in international refereed journals and conference proceedings indexed to the Web of Science (SSCI/SCI/IE/CPCI). His current Google Scholar Citation H-index is 6; Scopus H-index = 5 with over 600 citations received from diverse authors and journals across the fields of consumers’ behaviors and digital marketing. Dr. Rana’s publications are seen in top ranked journals such as Computers in Human Behavior, Industrial Management and Data systems and Journal of International Development, etc.

Furthermore, Dr Rana’s serves as a reviewer for several leading journals, such as the Computers in Human Behavior, Journal of Retailing and Consumer Services, Industrial Management and Data System (SSCI), Social Indicators and Research Journal, Chinese Management Studies, Information & Management, IEEE, and Arab Gulf Journal of Scientific Research etc.,
