31 companies participated in this Career Fair offering more than 600 full-time jobs and 500 plus co-op placements to our UCSI University students. Participating companies included Public Bank, Malaysia Airlines, SkyWorld, Great Eastern, Shopee, and Beacon Hospital.
UCSI University partnered with the Education Ministry to organise a science challenge that required contestants to devise scientific innovations to solve real-world problems. Christened the Student Life Hacks TikTok Innovation Challenge, the competition also required secondary school students to upload a portrait-mode video of their innovations, explaining their game-changing potential. The objective: To make STEM fun.
The MoU between UCSI and DPSRU focuses on co-organising conferences, symposia, conducting joint research projects and publications in fields of mutual interest as well as facilitating and encouraging the exchange of students through research attachments, summer programmes and visitations between the parties.
In support of Malaysia’s 100 Million Tree Planting campaign, UCSI has launched the planting project called 3P-1G which stands for 3 Plants for every 1 Graduate. In conjunction with the closing of the SDG Month in June, UCSI SDGs Best Performance Awards were given to the UCSI Staff and students to recognise their hard work and efforts in implementing, monitoring and reporting sustainability practices.
A total of 20 uprising designer students from UCSI University's De Institute of Creative Arts and Design (ICAD) took part in showcasing their 20 stunning pieces of Elvis Presley-inspired creations at the JAMMIN 'with Elvis at REXKL. The event was organised by Warner Brothers Malaysia in conjunction with the Tribute to Elvis Presley movie.
UCSI University's Vice-Chancellor Professor Datuk Ir Ts Dr Siti Hamisah binti Tapsir exchanges MoA with WWF-Malaysia CEO Sophia Lim Chooi Kuan and Hellas TF Sdn Bhd CEO Dato’ Ryan Yeong Keng Heong during the official launch of the Centre of Research for Advanced Aquaculture (CORAA) on 14 June 2022, to foster collaboration opportunities between educational institutions, research groups and entrepreneurs in the aquaculture industry.
UCSI University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers (FMM) to form a collaborative partnership that would benefit students and the manufacturing industry.
The MoU enables the university and FMM to conduct joint research and studies through R&D and innovation funding, joint-training, and certification programmes incorporating Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning (APEL) and micro-credentials.
This workshop was organised on 12 June 2022, by All-Party Parliamentary Group Malaysia – Sustainable Development Goals (APPGM-SDG) in collaboration with UCSI and Regional Centres of Expertise – Greater Kuala Lumpur (RCE GKL). By curating and contextualising SDG Projects, the workshop aims to facilitate learning about the sustainability paradigm, the United Nations 17 SDGs, as well as their targets and indicators.
UCSI University hosted MIID Students’ Saturday, an annual student event organised by Malaysian Institute of Interior Designers (MIID) hosted by different Universities. This year’s event was in hybrid mode (physical & online) with 18 Universities and Institutions across Malaysia. Around 300 - 400 student participants, 50 lecturers, 20 MIID Councils and Judges joined the weekend event with 17 competitions, local & international guest talks, sponsors sharing, lucky draw and performance.
Our UCSI Group SDG Secretariat organised workshops and tree planting at the campus in conjunction with the UCSI SDG Month and World Environment Day on 4 June 2022 as they work together to save, protect, and preserve our world!
