Kuala Lumpur, 25 November, 2010 - The School of A-Levels Student Association (SALSA) recently held its Prom Night at Hotel Maya Kuala Lumpur. More than 230 students, parents, lecturers and invited guests braved the late afternoon rain to attend what was promised to be an evening full of “Hollywood Glamour”. With a party theme of “Tonight’s Dream, Tomorrow’s Memory”, students not only entertained their guests by putting up an evening’s stage performance which include dances and songs which delighted the hearts of many, they also decked themselves up with beautiful costumes and hair-dos to live up to the intended glamour of the evening. The enthusiasm and excitement made the evening rain irrelevant in the midst of revelry.

Seen beaming with delight at the door were Dr Nalina Thurairajah, Teacher Advisor of SALSA, and Ms. Mabel Tan, Head of the A-Level Academy who flashed her broad smile at every guest who walked in, amongst those are UCSI University Vice Chancellor Dr. Robert Bong, JPA officers Encik Nazrifairus, Puan Harlina, Puan Norliza, Cik Nurul Azuwa and Cik Suzi, Ms. Margaret Soo, Vice President of Group Corporate Affairs and Ms. Ooi Pei Boon, director of Student Affairs. Other lecturers seen busy helping to play hosts were Mr. Tai, Mr Choong, Ms Joey Kong, who also dressed up especially for the evening. 

Dr. Robert Bong, Vice Chancellor of the university praised the organisers for what he remarked as a splendid evening which exceeded his expectations. 

After a few rounds of songs and performances, the Prom King and Queen 2010 were chosen and announced. Hanisha Kaur of July 2009 intake was crowned Prom Queen 2010 while Tan Jef Wayne of July 2009 intake was proclaimed Prom King 2010. As they took to the dance floor, the lights were dimmed and some adults started to retreat quietly, bringing Prom Night 2010 to a happy close. Indeed, this is an evening many A-Level students will look back someday in sweet memories.
