The University Council is the principal executive and highest-governing body of UCSI University. It is responsible for the University’s administration, the formation of its academic policies, the setting of its mission, as well as the management of finances and property, among other pivotal tasks. All decisions concerning the University are made by the Council or by any other body or person to whom the Council delegates the decision-making power to.
Who sits on the Council?
The Council comprises its chairman, the vice-chancellor, a company director, a selected university professor and at least two external parties who stand out for their contributions to society. The UCSI student council president is included as an ex officio member who contributes to student affair policies. The Registrar serves as the secretary of the Council.
