QS World University Rankings 2026
UCSI University maintains its standing in the world’s top 1% for the fourth straight year after placing 269th in the QS World University Rankings 2026.
It is also the second straight year UCSI has placed in the top 270 of the competitive annual rankings, confirming its status as one of Asia’s top private universities.

QS World University Rankings: Asia 2026
UCSI University has broken into Asia’s top 30 in the QS World University Rankings: Asia 2026 exercise.
Climbing 15 spots from last year, UCSI is now ranked eighth in Southeast Asia. The University has improved its continental rank for nine straight years.

QS World University Rankings by Subject 2026
UCSI University leads the way in QS World University Rankings by Subject 2026, placing in the world’s top 50 for four subjects - the most amongst Malaysian universities.

QS World University Rankings: Sustainability 2026
UCSI University is now ranked 57th in Asia - and ninth in Southeast Asia - in the QS World University Rankings: Sustainability 2026.
This comes on the back of a meteoric 138-spot rise that saw the University improving its global rank to 334 from 472 last year.
UCSI also ranks first in Malaysia, first in Southeast Asia, seventh in Asia and 18th in the world in the area of environmental sustainability.

UCSI University climbed 35 spots in the QS World University Rankings 2025 to rank 265th in the world, placing in the world’s top 1% for the third year running.

UCSI University is ranked 45th in Asia after making an impressive 16-spot climb in the QS Asia University Rankings 2025. The University has improved its rank for eight straight years in the competitive annual exercise that ranks Asia’s top universities.

UCSI University made the top 500 for eight subjects in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2025 exercise, improving 60% from last year.

Ranked 300 in the competitive annual rankings, UCSI is classified in the world’s top 1% for the second year running.

UCSI University is ranked 61st in Asia after making an impressive 11-spot climb in the QS Asia University Rankings 2024. The University has improved its rank for seven straight years in the competitive annual exercise that ranks Asia’s top universities.


Ranked 284 after climbing 63 spots in the 2023 QS World University Rankings

UCSI University ranked 72 in Asia, rising for the fifth straight year. The milestone of breaking into Asia’s top 75 comes on the back of five consecutive years of improvement, with the University rising 140 positions over this period.


First and only university in the world bestowed with the QS Recognition for Improvement Award for improvement by the most ranks on average

UCSI rose 44 spots to be ranked 347 globally. It is among the top 1.1% of all universities worldwide.

UCSI University moved 28 spots to be ranked 77 in the QS Asia University Rankings 2022. Since the 2018’s exercise, the University has leaped 135 spots, placing it among Asia’s top 80 varsities.

Rank 51-60: Made it to top 60 universities under 50 years old.

Institute of Music (IMus) is now placed 45 in the world.
The Hospitality and Tourism Management faculty has been ranked among the top 100 faculties in the world.
The Engineering faculty made it to the 101-150 bracket in the world.
The Business and Management faculty is ranked in the 251-300 bracket in the world.
