UCSI International Institute for Science Diplomacy and Sustainability (IISDS) and the United Nations University-International Institute for Global Health (UNU-IIGH) recently hosted the UCSI-IISDS Science Diplomacy and Sustainability Lecture Series.
The lecture, delivered by director of the Adaptation Division at the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) Dr Youssef Nassef, challenged conventional risk management thinking, urging a shift towards transformative, forward-looking strategies that bridge the gap between science and policy. His central message: post-2030 resilience demands adaptation, not just reaction.
The session brought together over 50 participants from 31 organisations spanning government agencies, embassies, GLCs, NGOs, universities and SMEs.
