Dr Yu Receives Chartered Enginner Qualification

Faculty of Engineering, Technology and Built Environment’s Assistant Professor Dr Yu Lih Jiun received the Chartered Engineer qualification awarded by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) on 24^th July 2018.

This professional qualification enables her to register under the Engineering Council, United Kingdom.  

This qualification is the reflection of a professional registered engineer and marks commitment to professional standards and to exercising responsibilities in an ethical manner.

“It is also important to develop close contact with the government, public bodies and the media, which is vital to enhancing the public understanding of engineering to civilisation and economy,” said Dr Yu.

“One needs to contribute and support the work as a profession to ensure that the voices of professional engineers are heard and understood, nationally and internationally.

“I appreciate UCSI for giving me a career development platform in the related field and for recognising standards of competence and commitment in the field internationally,” she added.
