
Overview
The Foundation in Arts (Humanities and Management) programme provides students with a strong academic foundation for progression into degree programmes in business and management, social sciences and liberal arts, hospitality and tourism, as well as arts and design. The curriculum develops essential numerical, analytical, creative and communication skills to support diverse academic and career pathways....Students gain fundamental knowledge in areas such as business, economics, accounting, communication and multidisciplinary studies, complemented by subjects aligned with their intended field of study. Guided by experienced academics and industry professionals, students benefit from innovative teaching methods, practical learning experiences and industry engagement through projects and collaborations.
This programme prepares students for a smooth transition into degree-level study and future professional success.
Assessments
The programme adopts a practice-oriented approach that integrates coursework and written examinations to support both academic and applied learning. Students gain relevant, engaging and hands-on experience through a variety of teaching methods and practical activities. Learning is delivered through dynamic approaches, including lectures, tutorials, team-based projects, presentations, case studies and independent assignments. Guided by experienced academics and industry professionals, students benefit from a balanced learning experience that combines theoretical knowledge with practical exposure relevant to their chosen field.

Foundation in Arts (For entry into BA (Hons) Psychology)

Pass with 5 credits (C) including Mathematics and a science subject and pass in English

Minimum 5 credits (C) including Mathematics and a science subject and pass in English
UEC
Pass with minimum 3 credits (B6) including Mathematics and a science subject and pass in English
Other qualifications
Any other equivalent qualifications recognised by the Malaysian Government
Foundation in Arts (For entry into BA (Hons) English Language and Communication / BA (Hons) Mass Communication)

English Requirement for Foundation in Arts
- Candidates with a minimum grade of A2 in UEC English Language / Band 2 in MUET / 30-31 in TOEFL, 4.0 in IELTS Academic / grade C in O-Level or IGCSE / SPM English 1119 / grade B1 (with at least 2 skills at B1) in CEFR / 140 in Cambridge English Qualification / 140 in Cambridge Linguaskill / 106 in Certified Intensive English Programme (CIEP) by ELS / 36 in Pearson Test are exempted from SE004 Basic English and SE005 English Foundation. Other equivalent qualifications can be exempted on case-by-case basis.
- Candidates who scored lower than B+ in SPM English Language or than the above requirement will have to take the SE004 Basic English subject before taking the SE005 English Foundation subject in the foundation year.
