Overview
This six-month, full-time course is designed to develop advanced skills and knowledge in perioperative nursing. It prepares registered nurses with essential competencies in pre-operative patient care, intra-operative management and post operative care for surgical condition....
Graduates of this course will be equipped to assist with surgical procedures and provide high-quality perioperative nursing care in line with industry standards.
This curriculum provides an overview of the perioperative nursing component within the nursing education programme accredited by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency and the Ministry of Nursing Board, Malaysia.
Academic Requirements
Malaysian Candidates
- Possess a Diploma in Nursing from an institution recognised by the Malaysia Nursing Board.
- Registered with the Malaysia Nursing Board.
- Hold a current Annual Practicing Certificate.
- Have a minimum of two (2) years of clinical working experience.
- Have at least six (6) months of experience working in perioperative setting.
International Candidates / Spouses of Malaysian Citizens
- Possess a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an institution recognised by the accreditation body in the country of origin.
- Registered with the Nursing Council of the country of origin.
- Hold a Temporary Practicing Certificate (TPC) from the Malaysian Nursing Board before clinical placement.
- Have a minimum of twenty-four (24) months of clinical working experience.
- Demonstrate proficiency in English through one of the accepted examinations or equivalent
AND - Achieve a minimum score of 5.5 in the IELTS Academic.
