Kuala Lumpur: UCSI University’s Logistics Student Association (LSA) recently hosted a SPSS Statistics workshop with Assistant Professor Dr Dazmin bin Daud as the speaker and trainer at UCSI University KL Campus.

A total of 35 students from the BA (Hons) Logistics Management and BA (Hons) Supply Chain Management programmes took part in this workshop. SPSS stands for Statistical Package for the Social Sciences and is a software package used for logical batched and non-batched statistical analysis in research work.

During the workshop, students were provided with the SPSS software and taught about its applications such as data input, normality test, reliability test, validity test, T-test and linear regression test amongst others.

Application of SPSS is very valuable and useful, particularly for students who are currently or will be doing their Final Year Project and using quantitative method as their research method. Additionally, students can put down knowledge of SPSS as one of their skills in their resume.
