UCSI conducted an educational visit to the Malaysia Semiconductor IC Design Park, organised by the Selangor Information Technology & Digital Economy Corporation (SIDEC), offering students and university representatives a firsthand look into Malaysia’s growing semiconductor ecosystem and industry landscape.
Led by UCSI deputy vice-chancellor of Research and Postgraduate Studies Distinguished Prof Dr Phang Siew Moi and Centre of Excellence for Research, Value Innovation and Entrepreneurship director Prof Dr Show Pau Loke, the delegation explored opportunities within the semiconductor sector and gained deeper insight into the Malaysia Semiconductor IC Design Park initiative.
The visit served as a platform to strengthen academia-industry collaboration and inspire the next generation of talent to contribute meaningfully to Malaysia’s semiconductor landscape, reinforcing UCSI University’s ongoing commitment to research, innovation and industry engagement.
