Dr Jihad Mohammad is an Assistant Professor at Graduate Business School at UCSI University,
Malaysia. He has versatile career exposure. Dr Jihad has served as an Assistant Professor at Qatar University, Qatar for two and half years. Before that, he served at AHIBS, UTM-KL, Malaysia for five years as a Senior Lecturer. Prior to his academic career, he worked in the corporate sector in Malaysia and Jordan for 7 years.

Dr Jihad received his DBA from UKM-Graduate School of Business (UKM-GSB) in 2014, MBA from UKM-Graduate School of Business (UKM-GSB) in 2006, and Bachelor of public administration from Mu’tah University in 1996.

Dr Jihad’s research interests include organizational psychology, work ethics, CSR, and sustainability. He has published six books on green, sustainability, work ethics and CSR-related topics. Some of his books are published by reputed publishers like Emerald, IGI Global and Pearson Malaysia. He has also published books on research skills-related topics such as literature review and case writing. His book entitled, “Crafting Literature Review: A Guide for Doctoral Students” is widely recognized by researchers in Malaysia.

Dr Jihad is also a prolific case writer. He has published cases in the Asian Case Research Journal (Scopus, ISI), Emerald Emerging Market Case Studies (Scopus) and Asian Journal of Management Cases (Scopus, ISI). He has presented his case at the North American Case Research Association (NACRA)’s annual conference in 2020 and 2021. Dr Jihad is also a life member of the Case Writers’ Association of Malaysia (CWAM). He received "IMBRe Special Award" for the case presented at the 3rd International Case Study Conference (ICSC 2018) in 2018 and won the second place for case competition held in IMBRe-UUM, 2nd International Case Study Conference (ICSC-2017) in 2017.

He has published around 55 papers in international refereed journals indexed in the Web of Science (SSCI/SCIE/ESCI) by Clarivate Analytics, Scopus and the Australian Business Deans Council (ABDC). For his contribution in terms of research and publications, he has received the ‘Faculty Award for Research & Publications’ by AHIBS UTM-KL (previous employer) in 2017, 2018, and 2019.

Dr Jihad has held various editorial roles. He has successfully served as a Co-Guest Editor for the Journal of Global Marketing (Taylor & Francis, ESCI, ABDC-B) and Young Consumers (Emerald, ESCI; Scopus). Currently, he is co-editing another special issue for the Journal of Global Responsibility (Emerald, SSCI, ABDC-C). He is also a member of the Editorial Advisory Board and Review Board of four reputed Emerald journals namely, Journal of Global Responsibility (Emerald, ESCI, ABDC-C), International Journal of Productivity and Performance Management (Emerald, ESCI, ABDC-B), and International Journal of Ethics and Systems (Emerald, ESCI, ABDC-C).

He has supervised 10 doctoral students and 16 MBA students’ research projects. Moreover, he has secured several grants such as FRGS, Case Writing Grant Scheme and GUP. He has served as the panel to evaluate university internal grant proposals and examined several doctoral research proposals.

Dr Jihad has conducted several research skills-related workshops to develop doctoral students’ research skills such as the workshop on SPSS, AMOS, PLS, Quantitative Analysis, Research Methodology and so on. He was also invited to give a talk on how to publish in Q1/Q2 journals. He has served as the session chair for the Business and Management Session), International Conference on Business, Management, Tourism and Hospitality (BIZMATOUR) in 2015.

During his academic tenure, he has been involved in many activities in the university at the faculty level such as the curriculum review, rubrics review, examination, research grant evaluation, and conducting workshops. In 2016, he was appointed as one of the committee members for the conference “International Conference on Innovation in Business Strategy (ICIBS)” which was organized by AHIBSUTM-KL. Moreover, he has served as the course coordinator for several courses and as the Chair of the proposal defense several times.

His involvement in professional associations reflects his commitment to the betterment of the field. He is a life member of the Qualitative Research Association of Malaysia (QRAM) since May 27, 2015, and the Case Writers’ Association of Malaysia (CWAM) since October 10, 2015.
