UCSI University was honoured to host Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim for the official launch of its latest campus expansion at its Kuala Lumpur campus, held in conjunction with its 40th anniversary. The project, featuring two new 38-storey blocks, will add around one million sq ft of operational space and increase student capacity by more than 3,000.
The new towers will house the University’s chancellery and administrative offices, as well as dedicated facilities for UCSI's Institute of Music. A state-of-the-art performing arts complex is also in the works, comprising a 2,500-seat grand hall, a 600-seat recital hall, a 400-seat black box theatre, and over 400 rehearsal and practice rooms to nurture the next generation of musicians.
During his visit, the Prime Minister also engaged students through his Temu Anwar youth dialogue, addressing topics ranging from economic developments and social media age restrictions to student activism and graduate transition passes for international students.
