Mr.Ethan Chen Kim Kuen is a graduate in Music Arranging from International College of Music in 2000. He was an active student who participated in lots of college activities and a Dean’s List student in each semester throughout his academic study of 4 years.

He has been involved in both the performing and education scenario for 14 years now after his graduation since 2000. He has been involved in music gigs and events like wedding gigs, private jazz club performance events and local jazz performance events like Penang Jazz Festivals.

He started teaching in UCSI university since 2003 and he is one of the longest faculty member who is always enthusiastic, passionate, keen and experienced in teaching and educating students in UCSI university. Since then, he has given many lectures at the University which includes Music Arranging, Contemporary Harmony, Ear Training, contemporary piano playing styles and private one-to-one piano lessons. He is a sensitive and caring lecturer who is always keen to help students in their university education. Many of his students have graduated and are in various fields of music like university lecturers, local performance artists and are active in the local music industry.

Apart from the contemporary music scene, he also involves himself in classical music. He achieved Distinction level in the Diploma in Piano Performance of Associated Board of Royal School Music, UK in 2000.

He is currently our contemporary music faculty member that lectures in major piano studies.
