SHAH ALAM: The Marketing Student Association under UCSI University’s Faculty of Business and Information Science (FOBIS) recently visited F&N, a leading beverage manufacturer and distributor in Asia Pacific. Located at Shah Alam, F&N produces a wide range of soft drinks for Malaysians from all walks of life. Through this visit, students were able to learn and better understand the process of producing soft drinks and were exposed to branding and promotion strategies deployed by F&N. Students were also able to garner real-life industry experience through insightful activities organisedby the company. These include informational activities on the invention of new products in the marketplace, market research and survey, and the role of packaging as well aspackaging methods for F&N drinks such as 100 Plus, Soya Bean and Cincau. 

Students were also given opportunities to see first-hand and learn more about the manufacturing process of F&N, from idea conception to product packaging. Apart from that, Ms Jacintha Loke, the Corporate Affair Officer of F&N, provided detailed information on the company’s product categories and wholeheartedly explained the unique selling points of the drinks to the students.
