Julian Ong graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music (major in clarinet) from Taiwan Tunghai University in 2016 under the tutelage of ChiaoHui Yang (clarinetist, Taipei Symphony Orchestra). Julian has participated in the 2012 Tunghai University Music Department Concerto Competition as the youngest contestant and was placed second in the competition. He was also the runner up in the Taiwan Taichung City Competition (college group A) and awarded to be an eligible participant of the Taiwan National Music Competition in 2014.  

He is currently a clarinetist in the KL City Opera, and the Philharmonic Winds of Malaysia, also working as a clarinet lecturer at UCSI, UiTM, clarinet teacher at Garden International School and the woodwind section tutor at Kolej Yayasan Saad.
