LSA organises insightful SPSS workshop

KUALA LUMPUR: UCSI University’s Logistics Student Association (LSA) successfully organised a workshop titled, “Software Package for Statistical Analysis (SPSS)” recently. Conducted by the Logistics Department’s very own expert, Asst Prof Dr Dazmin Daud, the workshop aimed to hone the students’ skills on data analyses and interpretation.

In essence, SPSS is one of the most widely used statistical software packages used to conduct statistical analyses in social science studies. This software is popular among logistics companies, market researchers, health researchers, survey companies, government, academic researchers and marketing organisations, to name a few.

Notably, more than 30 students from UCSI’s BA (Hons) Logistics Management programme and other programmes participated in this insightful event. Held in Computer Lab C at UCSI’s Kuala Lumpur campus, the workshop helped enhance the participants’ SPSS skills, which would serve them well in their final year theses.
