
Overview
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is rapidly growing and widely used in manufacturing, healthcare, logistics, and smart city applications. With the developments of AI in decision-making, automation and data-driven innovation there is an increasing demand for professionals capable of implementing AI solutions for complex challenges. This programme is inspired by the latest developments in machine learning, robotics, and IoT; as well as feedback from industry stakeholders emphasising the need for application-focused AI expertise. This programme is designed for students who would like to establish their academic achievements in both AI research and engineering practices, meeting global workplace needs and emerging technological trends.
Academic Requirements
A Bachelor's Degree [Malaysian Qualifications Framework (MQF) level 6] in Engineering, Engineering Technology and Technology or other relevant fields with evidence of computing-related subjects, with a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.50 or equivalent, as accepted by the University Senate;
OR
A Bachelor's Degree (MQF, level 6) in Engineering, Engineering Technology and Technology or other relevant fields with evidence of computing-related subjects, with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 and not meeting a CGPA of 2.50, can be accepted subject to rigorous internal assessment;
OR
A Bachelor's of Science Degree or its equivalent (non-engineering or engineering technology or technology) with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 as accepted by the Higher Education Provider (HEP) Senate and with relevant working experience, subject to a rigorous internal assessment;
OR
A Bachelor's of Science Degree or its equivalent (non-engineering or engineering technology or technology) with a minimum CGPA of 2. 00 as accepted by the HEP Senate and without relevant working experience, subject to passing appropriate prerequisite modules in Engineering and Engineering Technology.
