Seow Chee Chuan, a Malaysian born Chinese who graduated from Taipei National University of the Arts with a Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance, has awarded the “Outstanding Performance Award” by Taipei National University of the Arts in 2014. He started his journey in vocal with Aguan Lim, Professor Mewas Lin, Professor Chi-Long Teng, and Professor Chi-Hua Cheng. He developed his opera coaching skills from Professor Sung-Jen Hsu, Professor Chen, Tang and Professor Chun-Chiang Chiu. He has received compliments and recommendations from some of the famous maestros such as Professor Semyon Rozin from Hochschule fur Musik Koln, stage director Prof. Matthew Lata, America famous tenor Mariolin Xu, Baritone Hao -Jiang Tian from Metropolitan Opera House in New York, and famous vocal coaches such as Katherine Chu and Pei-Yao Wang. He used to be one of the members of Taiwan Association of Vocal Artists, and singer in National Theater and Concert Hall Opera Studio, and Taipei Philharmonic Opera Studio , current teaching in USCI University.

 

Throughout his career he has successfully achieved the following awards which are : Outstanding Performance Award from Taipei National University of the Arts in 2014 , 2014 Taoyuan Rotary Club Scholarship , emerge as Champion in Taoyuan Rotary Club Singing Competition in 2013 , 2013 Music Scholarship Award New Voices A.V.A , Taiwan by Dr. Joseph Chow Memorial Foundation from USA and Champion in Taoyuan Rotary Club Singing Competition for Bachelor and Master level in 2013. He was once a Student Council Representative of Taipei National University of the Arts for year 2013. After returning to Malaysia , he has been invited to be the judge of many competitions , that are : Negeri Sembilan Chinese School Singing Competition , Pahang Chinese School Singing Competition , Malaysia Chinese School Singing Competition , Malaysia Vocal Competition ( West and South ) and the Finals of Malaysia Vocal Competition.
