Site Safety Supervisor

Responsibilities
- To create safety awareness and carry out safety meetings. fire drill exercises, safety induction, and safety training
- To implement and monitor aspects of Safety Management System activities in the workplace
- To provide a monthly safety report complete with safety statistics for submission to DOSH and HQ records
- To observe and/or maintain a diary detailing safety activities(s), hazardous works, housekeeping, safety instruction
- To implement all procedures and practices as stipulated in the company's policy, including safety and ISO
- To provide assistance for safety during internal or external audits
- Inspecting and rectifying any unsafe conditions at the construction site
- Correcting any unsafe practices
- Checking of sub-contractors' work to unsure compliance with the Act and the Regulations made thereunder, will be complied with the Act and the Regulations
- Liaise with contractor's safety supervisors appointed under Regulation 26 with respect to the safety of work undertaken by sub-contractors
- To avoid corruption or bribery in any management process
Requirements
- A valid yellow book holder registered with the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH)
- At least two (2) years of working experience on site and/or assignment exposure
- Familiarise with standard concepts and best practices for construction/substations/environments for both safety and administration
- Good writing and verbal communication skills in both English and Bahasa
- Keen intention to detail and ability to effectively manage time
- Able to work in a team
- Valid driving license
- Able to work with minimal supervision
- Work irregular hours to accomplish urgent project deliveries
