UCSI UNIVERSITY IS FIRST TO COLLABORATE WITH KOZMINSKI UNIVERSITY, POLAND


Kuala Lumpur, 9 Feb, 2011 - UCSI University signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with one of Central Europe’s top business varsities, Kozminski University (Kozminski), as an initial partnership between the two institutions. Signing the memorandum was Professor Witold Bielecki, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Prorektor) of Kozminski, witnessed by the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to Kuala Lumpur, His Excellency Prof Adam W. Jelonek and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lachman Tarachand, Deputy Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs of UCSI University.

Initiated by UCSI University’s International University Placement Centre (IUPC), the Memorandum aims at building a lasting relationship with Kozminski, to better benefit their students as well as the local students intending to complete their degrees abroad.

Kozminski University Business School is highly ranked in the world with several accreditations, awards and distinctions to its name.

Besides being the first local university to sign this agreement with Kozminski, this collaboration also symbolises the first Polish University to work closely with IUPC.

“We are pleased to form this partnership with Kozminski University and are eager to welcome the students and staff from Poland into our Kuala Lumpur Campus,” said Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lachman Tarachand. 

Amongst the programmes discussed within the collaboration is the Master in Business Administration (MBA), the Bachelor of Arts (Hons) Business Administration, the Bachelor of Arts in Accounting and Bachelor of Arts (Hons) Accounting and Finance under UCSI University’s International Degree Pathway programme. Besides that, the IUPC is also aiming for the exchange of undergraduate and postgraduate students as well as welcoming guest professors and researchers to UCSI University.

UCSI University's Faculty of Management & Information Technology (FoMIT) is currently working together with the Kozminski administrators, in hopes to kick-start this collaboration between the universities by May 2011.
