UCSI UNIVERSITY FORGES PARTNERSHIP WITH PAKISTANI COLLEGE

COLLEGE OF ACCOUNTING AND MANAGEMENT SCIENCE WILL BE OFFERING UCSI UNIVERSITY’S PROGRAMMES

Kuala Lumpur, 24 February, 2011 - UCSI University and the College of Accounting and Management Science, Pakistan (CAMS) marked a significant milestone today with the renewal of a three-year collaboration that will see CAMS offering four of UCSI University’s undergraduate programmes in a 2 + 1 arrangement. A memorandum of agreement (MoA) was signed today by UCSI University’s Deputy Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Professor Dr Lee Chai Buan and the Chief Executive Officer for CAMS, Mr. Adil M. Butt to seal the arrangement.

Through this partnership, CAMS will be offering four of UCSI University’s degree programmes that currently lie under its Faculty of Management and Information Technology; the B.A. (Hons) in Business Administration, B.A. (Hons) in Accounting and Finance, B.A. (Hons) in Marketing and the B.A. (Hons) in Business Information System.

Under this arrangement, CAMS will conduct the first two years of the programmes, while following the framework that has been set up by UCSI University. The University will also be providing CAMS with training and academic assistance, to ensure that students receive the same quality education as they would if they were to study at UCSI University. The students shall complete their final academic year at UCSI University’s Kuala Lumpur campus after completing their year 1 and year 2 courses in CAMS.

CAMS is an established educational institution in Pakistan, offering post-secondary education courses, leading up to diploma and degree levels. The inking of the MoA today sees a long term relationship between the two education institutions, with many opportunities for other joint ventures in the future.
