UCSI UNIVERSITY INKS MoA WITH INSIGHT INSTITUTE OF LEARNING


KUALA LUMPUR, May 7 – UCSI University and Insight Institute of Learning, Bangladesh, signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) to open UCSI University’s first overseas branch campus in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The signing of the MoA is in line with UCSI University and Insight Institute of Learning's shared goal of improving graduate outcomes in Bangladesh.

 UCSI University was represented by Acting Vice-Chancellor and President Dato' Peter Ng while Managing Director Mr Ariful Bari Mojumder was the representative for Insight Institute of Learning. Additionally, the High Commissioner of Malaysia to the People's Republic of Bangladesh Her Excellency Haznah Md Mashim, Insight Institute of Learning executive director Mr Sahrul Haslan Hassan, The United Arab Emirates Consulate General of Malaysia Vice-Consul (Education) Mr Ahmad Darul Akmal Mohd Ali, UCSI University Global Engagement Office Director Mr Chan Joe Jim, and the deans and representatives of the two institutions witnessed the event.

"I would like to start by thanking Insight Institute of Learning, our valued partner in this initiative, for the faith they placed in us and for their abiding efforts to get things going in Dhaka. Thank you for making this possible. We are honoured to partner with you, and we are confident that our shared endeavour will improve graduate outcomes and change lives for thousands of students in Bangladesh." Dato' Peter said.

The Acting Vice-Chancellor and President also announced UCSI University Dhaka has plans to offer three postgraduate programmes and 17 undergraduate programmes in the first year of its operations. These offerings comprise some of UCSI University’s popular programmes in Business and Management, Computer Science, Digital Innovation, and Creative Arts.

Insight Institute of Learning Managing Director Mr Ariful Bari Mojumder expressed his gratitude for this first step into a strategic and significant partnership.
