UCSI UNIVERSITY OPEN DAY - 18th & 19th February: UCSI University Sarawak Campus Pre-U Day


Kuching, 15 February, 2012 - Students and parents who wish to find out more about the Foundation and GCE A-Level programmes are invited to visit the UCSI University's Pre-U Day on 18th and 19th February at its Sarawak Campus located at Jalan Tun Jugah in Kuching. The University doors will be opened to prospective students and parents from 10am to 5pm.

Special preview of the programmes will be available during these two days and all the visitors are welcomed to tour the campus to view the well-equipped teaching laboratories and other facilities of the Centre for Pre-U Studies.

With over 10 years experience in conducting the Edexcel GCE A-Level programme, UCSI University's Sarawak Campus has consistently remained the leading GCE A-Level provider in Sarawak and has subsequently produced hundreds of alumni pursuing degree programmes all over the world. The programme is the London modular that runs for 18 months. Students can also opt for the 14-month duration by joining the March intake. The GCE A-Level programme acts as the foundation for students who have completed their Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examinations and wish to pursue degree programmes in fields such as medicine, pharmacy, dentistry and other science-related programmes. Holding worldwide recognition, the UCSI University A-Level programme serves as an international ticket for students to further studies in any part of the world. 

Students who intend to fast-track into degree programmes are encouraged to take up the one year foundation programme at UCSI University. The programme consists of Foundation in Science and Arts allowing students to enter various degree programmes and lead them to myriad of career pathways. 

The Foundation studies in Science equips students for admission into professional degree courses such as health and applied sciences, engineering, psychology, mass communication, information technology and many more. The Foundation studies in Arts enables students to pursue their degree programmes in different fields ranging from hospitality and tourism to social sciences and management. These programmes are specially designed to prepare students to be independent, critical thinkers, preparing them for the challenges that they will face when they get into their respective degree courses.

UCSI University Sarawak Campus houses the Centre for Pre-U Studies and the Faculty of Hospitality and Toursim Management. This Campus provides programmes to train students in many areas including management and communication skills.

The enrolment for the GCE A-Level programme at UCSI University is now in progress. The GCE A-Level programme is offered at Kuala Lumpur and Sarawak Campuses while the foundation programmes are offered at all campuses which include the Terengganu Campus as well.
