UCSI University ranks among the world’s Top 400 varsities
UCSI University has climbed 51 spots in its ranking to be one of the world’s top 400 universities, according to the QS World University Rankings 2021. With this, UCSI University continues to be placed among the top 2% of the world’s universities.
UCSI Vice-Chancellor and President Academician Senior Professor Dato’ Dr Khalid Yusoff FASc said the latest milestone was a result of a consistent university-wide push for excellence and accomplishment. He thanked all staff, students, partner universities and friends for their belief in the university and in the various initiatives which had been pursued to push the University higher and further.
This continuing improvement and latest accomplishment reflect the strategies adopted and the dedication and commitment of all concerned”, he added. In welcoming the recognition, he said it places a great responsibility on the staff and students alike to continue consolidating and scaling up the excellence pathway.
UCSI University was Malaysia’s best private university for two years in row, according to the QS World University Rankings 2019 and 2020.
Earlier this year, UCSI’s Institute of Music again emerged for the third time as the world’s top 100 in the field of performing arts (QS World University Rankings by Subject 2020). Its Faculty of Business and Information Science has now been ranked as one of the world’s top 400 business schools in the world in the same exercise.
In championing the United Nations’ Sustainability Development Goals (SDGs), the University is now recognised as the Regional Centre of Expertise on Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) by United Nations University. It is the first private university in Malaysia to be so acknowledged.
UCSI University has a strong relationship with top universities around the world which select its top undergraduate students for research placements. These include Harvard University, Imperial College London, Tsinghua University, University of Chicago and University of Queensland. Recently the University of Arizona Global Campus Experience partnered with UCSI to offer the US degree without compromising on a unique campus-life experience at UCSI University
