Please take note of the following important information before you travel to Malaysia:
- It is mandatory for all international students to enter Malaysia before the expiry of their Visa Approval Letter (VAL). The VAL is issued with a validity of six (6) months, which is sufficient to enter the country.
- International students are required to have a passport with a validity of more than 18 months (for all countries except Indonesia) / 24 months (for Indonesia only) upon arrival in Malaysia.
- International students are required to complete the Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC). This can be done as early as three (3) days before arrival or, at the latest, upon arrival. Students must present their completed MDAC at entry points for immigration clearance. The MDAC can be completed via the Immigration Department website: https://imigresen-online.imi.gov.my/mdac/main?register
- International students are required to travel using the same passport used to apply for their Visa Approval Letter (VAL). If a new passport has been obtained, students must apply for a VAL amendment to update the passport number before travelling to Malaysia.
- International students are not allowed to travel outside Malaysia once they have entered the country. If they wish to leave Malaysia after entry, they must visit the Visa Processing Unit (VPU), UCSI University Kuala Lumpur Campus, for further advice.
