Mohamed Arshad Azeerdeen is a passionate educator currently lecturing at UCSI University, Kuching Campus. He began his higher education journey at the remarkable age of 16, pursuing a Foundation in Business at Swinburne University of Technology, Sarawak Campus. He then completed his first Bachelor’s degree in Business Management at Swinburne before continuing his academic pursuit at UCSI University, where he earned his second Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management and later a Master’s in International Hospitality Management.

Throughout his university years, Arshad was an active and engaged student leader. At Swinburne, he contributed to campus life through his involvement with the Rotaract Club of Swinburne Sarawak and served as a Resident Advisor (RA) at the Swinburne student accommodation. At UCSI University, he was elected President of the Student Board in 2020 and served as a Youth Ambassador with RCE Kuching. During his master’s studies, he continued to contribute as a member of the Student Board 2024.

Arshad brings strong industry experience to his academic role. During his second bachelor’s degree, he completed an internship with Radisson Hotels, and after graduating, he worked for a year as a chef in a 5-star Italian kitchen. His combined exposure to hotel operations and culinary environments strengthened his passion for understanding the hospitality and tourism industry more deeply.
Driven by curiosity, dedication, and a desire to contribute through research and consultancy, Arshad chose to enter the field of academia. As a fresh graduate with substantial hands-on experience, he is committed to advancing knowledge and shaping future leaders in the hospitality industry.
