Professor Ir. Ts. Dr. Pau-Loke Show is currently the Director of the Center of Excellence for Research, Value Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CERVIE) at UCSI University, Malaysia. Prior to joining UCSI University, he served as a Full Professor in the Department of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering at Khalifa University, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Before his appointment at Khalifa University, he was Professor of Biochemical Engineering in the Department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering, Faculty of Science and Engineering, at the University of Nottingham Malaysia. He was also the founding Co-Director of Future Food Malaysia, Beacon of Excellence (FFM BoE), and Director of the Sustainable Food Processing Research Centre (SuFPRC). In addition, he served as the Founding President of the International Bioprocessing Society (IBS), based in Malaysia.
Professor Show obtained his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in an exceptionally short duration immediately after completing his Bachelor’s degree at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). He is a Fellow of the Institution of Chemical Engineers (FIChemE) and a Professional Engineer (PEng) registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM). He is also a Chartered Engineer (CEng) with the Engineering Council United Kingdom (ECUK), a Corporate Member of The Institution of Engineers, Malaysia (MIEM), and a Professional Technologist (PTech) registered with the Malaysia Board of Technologists (MBOT). Furthermore, he holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education (PGCHE) and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA), United Kingdom.
Professor Show has received numerous prestigious academic awards and international recognitions, including the Mustafa Prize Young Scientist Medal, the Young Asian Biotechnologist Prize, the Biology and Biochemistry in Malaysia Leader Award, recognition as one of the World’s Rising Stars of Science, Highly Cited Researcher recognition, the Ten Outstanding Young Malaysian Award (TOYM), the Tan Sri Emeritus Professor Augustine S. H. Ong International Special Award on Innovations and Inventions in Palm Oil, the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Science Prize for Innovation, Research and Education (ASPIRE) Malaysia Award, the Malaysian Young Scientist Award, The DaSilva Award, the

He has successfully supervised a large number of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) and Master of Science (MSc) students and currently leads a substantial research team comprising postdoctoral researchers, PhD candidates, and MSc students. Professor Show has delivered numerous keynote lectures, invited seminars, conference presentations, and professional short courses to the global engineering and scientific communities.
Professor Show has authored and co-authored an extensive body of high-impact publications in top-tier Science Citation Index (SCI) international journals. His scholarly work has received significant global recognition, with a strong citation record and an exceptionally high h-index, placing him among the leading scholars in his fields of expertise, particularly microalgae technology and food engineering, as reflected by both Google Scholar and Scopus metrics. He has also served as Principal Investigator (PI) for a wide range of international, national, and industry-funded research projects, with a cumulative funding value amounting to several million United States dollars (USD).
An active and highly sought-after academic reviewer, Professor Show serves as a peer reviewer for a large number of prestigious international journals published by leading academic publishers, including Nature, Science, Elsevier, Wiley, Springer, the American Chemical Society (ACS), the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC), and Taylor & Francis. He has been recognized as a Top Peer Reviewer by Publons, receiving global recognition across multiple disciplines, including Engineering, Cross-Field, Chemistry, Biology and Biochemistry, and Agricultural Sciences. In addition, he has served extensively as a handling editor for a very large volume of manuscripts across numerous scholarly journals.

Dr. Pau-Loke Show continues to make significant contributions to biochemical engineering, microalgae biotechnology, and sustainable food processing, maintaining his position as a globally recognized leader in academic research and innovation.
