Responsibilities

To assist the Medical Lab Technologist in charge of daily operations and administrative matters on lab quality and services. To drive marketing and sales ideas for both lab and clinic by working together with the Laurent Bleu Marketing Team.

In Laboratory

  • Collect, label and handling of samples and adhere to lab operation protocols.
  • Assist other Medical Lab Technologists in daily lab operations including conducting tests, operating lab equipment, liaising with other lab providers, completing laboratory forms accurately, invoicing suppliers and organising any lab-related documents and records.
  • Replenish and maintain laboratory supplies/inventory as needed and communicate critical results.
  • Assist in maintaining proper inventory levels and tracking expiration dates of consumables.

 

In Clinic operations

  • To assist the front desk in managing patients when required.
  • To ensure all laboratory requests by medical doctors are accurate and correct.
  • Coordinate with clinic operation team on matters relevant to laboratory services.


Requirements

  • At least a Diploma or Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, Biomedical Science or any other relevant field. 
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant working experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Experience in phlebotomy is preferred. 
  • Experience in ISO/MS 15189 Medical Lab Accreditation including Internal and External Audits is an added advantage.
  • Prior administration, sales, and marketing skills will be an added advantage.
  • Be proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently as well as participate within the team.
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, possess a mature attitude. 
  • Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills and abilities.
