UCSI University has officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Hong Kong Metropolitan University. Leveraging on the respective strengths and expertise of both institutions, the universities aim to foster collaboration in dual degrees for undergraduate, postgraduate and research levels as well as students and staff exchanges.
UCSI University welcomed a delegation from UCSI University Bangladesh Campus, marking a significant step in strengthening academic and administrative collaborations between the two campuses, promoting knowledge exchange and exploring potential joint initiatives. The delegation toured UCSI Kuala Lumpur's state-of-the-art facilities, including UCSI Hospital and the Springhill Campus. This collaboration reinforces UCSI’s vision of creating a global academic ecosystem with UCSI Bangladesh playing a vital role in fostering long-term partnerships and mutual growth for future success.
UCSI University and the China Conservatory of Music are paving the way for international academic exchanges, collaborative research and joint creative projects. This strategic alliance aims to enrich the educational landscape through shared expertise, cultural fusion and innovative musical endeavours. This partnership was inaugurated by the visit of distinguished guests from Beijing, including Prof Dr Wang XuDong, Secretary of the Party Committee of the China Conservatory of Music.
On 16 December 2024, UCSI and the Malaysian Industry-Government Group for High Technology (MIGHT) hosted Friends of Sustainable Malaysia: The Alternatives to COP16 and COP29 – A Way Forward for Malaysia and ASEAN. The event brought together nearly 50 participants from diverse backgrounds and aimed to discuss climate change and biodiversity challenges in Malaysia and the ASEAN region. The event provided a valuable platform for collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and fostering partnerships to drive sustainable development forward.
UCSI University celebrated its third and final convocation of the year. We celebrated the achievements of 999 graduates across various disciplines, making the total number of graduates for the year 2024 to 3907. This makes it one of our largest graduating cohorts. We also had our first stethoscope and commitment ceremony, officiated by UCSI Healthcare Group chairman, Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah to our Doctor of Medicine graduates.
On 12 December 2024, Universitas Nasional (UNAS) delegates visited UCSI University for an implementation arrangement signing. The delegates also split into groups to discuss strategies for implementing greater collaboration between the various faculties and increasing research opportunities between the two universities.
Delegates from the Commission on Higher Education Philippines, accompanied by representatives from the Professional Regulation Commission, Board of Investments, Department of Labour and Employment, as well as the Bureau of Immigration, Securities and Exchange Commission, visited UCSI University early this December. The visit aimed to foster closer collaboration between UCSI University and the Philippines Embassy, reinforcing shared commitments to higher education and professional development.
UCSI University recently hosted a distinguished delegation from the Bangladesh University Grants Commission (UGC) at our main campus in Kuala Lumpur.
Led by the Bangladesh UGC chairman Prof Dr Syed Muhammed Abul Faiz, the visit strengthened our international educational partnerships.
We discussed higher education in both countries, explored opportunities for Bangladeshi students in Malaysia and reaffirmed our commitment to maintaining Malaysian education standards at our Bangladesh branch campus.
We extend our gratitude to all our esteemed guests, including UGC members Prof Dr Mohammad Anwar Hossain, Dr Fakhrul Islam and others.

On Nov 28, 2024, UCSI University was honoured to host a distinguished delegation comprising representatives from 15 Jordanian universities and editors at our Kuala Lumpur campus.
Organised by Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS), the visit served as a platform to explore potential collaborations, strengthening ties between Malaysia and Jordan in the field of higher education.
The delegation participated in networking sessions, engaging discussions and a campus tour that showcased UCSI’s state-of-the-art facilities and vibrant student environment. These interactions laid the foundation for academic partnerships and opportunities for Jordanian students to pursue world-class education in Malaysia.
We extend our gratitude to EMGS and our Jordanian counterparts for making this visit a success. UCSI remains committed to fostering global partnerships and delivering exceptional learning experiences that transcend borders.
UCSI University's Institute of Creative Arts and Design (ICAD) commemorated the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Malaysia with an International Poster Exhibition focused on Asian urban culture. The exhibition highlighted the unique cultures and traditions of various cities. Key events of the week included an academic forum and a film screening, both aimed at fostering stronger ties and promoting cross-cultural understanding.
