Responsibilities
- To disseminate information on both internal and external (national, industry and international) research grant proposal/opening calls to the UCSI University’s researchers via email and/or eblast.
- Timely documentation of grant management including grant applications, progress reports of ongoing research projects and closure and/or termination of research projects. All documents are required to be recorded systematically.
- To assist the Director of CERVIE in managing the research grant portals (i.e. MyGRANT, eDANA etc) to ensure all grants applications and progress reports are monitored efficiently.
- To assist the Director of CERVIE in appointment and communications with internal and external proposal reviewers for smooth and accurate proposal evaluation process.
- To keep track and monitor the research activities, progress and fund disbursement of research grant and conference funding for all researchers.
- To assist the Director of CERVIE in the development, revision and implementation of the Research & Development Policy and Guidelines.
- Assist in compilation, verification and submission of research and scholarly-related data and evidence for various ranking exercises including, QS, MyRA, SETARA, THE, etc.
- To compile and analyse the UCSI research performance data i.e., research publications, research grants, conference funding, intellectual property etc. For effective reporting to University Management.
- To assist in organizing various research and scholarly events, including workshops, seminar, conferences, MoU/MoA signing ceremony, etc.
- To perform all other duties relating to the above assigned to by the University Management
Requirements
- With a minimum Master’s degree and relevant knowledge in research management
- Excellent management and administrative skills.
- Pro-active and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently as well as participate within the team.
- Academic and/or work experience related to the field of research
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills • Excellent problem solving and conflict resolution skills
- Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, possess a mature attitude and a good team playe
