Your role is to Video/photo shoot, and post-produce videos/photos for the needs of the UCSI Group, by utilising your creativity and resources available. You are required to work together with the video team in handling assignments requiring; visual, audio, and maybe graphic effects or motion. Coordinating with subjects and finding optimal solutions to challenging situations is encouraged. 


Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Edit, and post-produce video and photo content for UCSI Group’s productions and its subsidiary companies.
  • Coordinate with the video team on meeting production demands and requests for the GCA team to produce photos/videos, and presentations for stakeholders concerned, and be accountable for the output.
  • To maintain a flexible work schedule to accommodate evening and weekend shifts and travel to on-site locations as and when necessary where planned productions are involved.
  • Creation/production of video and web-based projects with proficiency in all aspects of video production, such as editing of digital media (with Adobe Premiere), audio mixing and editing (audio clean-up, background music, sound effects) and shooting video.
  • Collaborate with the GCA team regarding preconceived ideas and physical realities of the production setting and participate in the programme's visual development in conjunction with project owners.
  • Mount the finished/edited product onto the Group or subsidiary companies’ online media archive and/or broadcast channels.
  • You should be able to use camera equipment; and make technical and creative suggestions regarding elements such as appropriate lighting, shooting angle, placement and type of microphone audio needs, locations, use of movement and interviews.
  • Oversee the security, operation and maintenance of equipment utilized in shooting and editing.
  • Implement basic motion graphics for a large range of projects.
  • Responsible for product output quality.
  • Perform video shooting and responsible for post-processing of videos and photos.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices for video production, digital editing equipment and software.
  • Ensure video and audio quality meet professional standards.
  • Manipulating film and video footage using modern editing techniques.
  • Strategize and plan video shoots while working collaboratively cross-department/team to acquire talents and products/props needed for the shoot.


Requirements

  • Candidate must possess at least a Diploma in Photography/Advertising/Media/Creative Multimedia or relevant field.
  • Must have at least 3-4 years of relevant experience.
  • Familiar with Sony & Canon system and video broadcast interview rules & skills.
  • Proficient in Videography and Video Editing software, ie: Final Cut Pro, Adobe Creative Suite, Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, Illustrator, and Photoshop. Being proficient in audio processing is an added advantage.
  • Essential knowledge of video best practices and the ability to integrate these skills with high production value along with attention to detail.
  • Essential knowledge of storytelling with a strong eye for design and an understanding of editorial processes.
  • Experience in digital advertisements, short narrative content, corporate videos, YouTube videos, or festive videos.
  • A strong team player.
  • Strong time management and multi-tasking skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines. Speed and non-idle are of the utmost.
  • Positive attitude, with strong communication skills and eagerness to learn.
  • Be self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
