UCSI is the first private university to receive full accreditation for a nursing degree programme. That pioneering spirit continues to inspire an innovative curriculum that is carefully designed to develop graduates who are well prepared to make significant contributions to the field of healthcare.... This programme focuses on basic sciences, theoretical and clinical modules while competency-based learning is facilitated through guided inquiry, reflection and critical thinking in relation to nursing theories and evidence-based practices to provide safe, quality and client-centred care.
The programme is recognised by the Malaysian Nursing Board (MNB) and the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) and has a 100% passing rate for the Malaysian Nursing Board examinations

Academic Requirements
Minimum age to enroll in a nursing programme is eighteen (18) years old.
Malaysian Candidates
- Pass Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) or *equivalent with minimum CGPA 2.0, or
- Pass Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) minimum 2.0 (Jayyid) and SHALL possess SPM with a minimum of three (3) credits: Bahasa Melayu; Mathematics (Elementary/Additional/Modern); and Science (General Science/Biology/Chemistry/Physics/Applied Science /Additional Science), or
- Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) with a minimum of Grade B6 in five (5) subjects and possess SPM with a minimum of three (3) credits: Bahasa Melayu; Mathematics (Elementary/Additional/Modern); and Science (General Science/Biology/Chemistry/Physics/Applied Science /Additional Science), or
- Matriculation/Foundation with minimum CGPA 2.5, or
- Pass any Diploma/Bachelor Degree with minimum CGPA 2.5 (Credit transfer are allow for Basic Medical Science/Behavioral Science). Equivalent MQF Level 4/Level 6, or
- Pass Diploma in Nursing with minimum CGPD 2.5 from a recognized institution by MQA AND possess current PC/RON for nurses from MNB (Credit transfer allowed), or
International Candidates
- Pass ‘A’ Level minimum Grade C in three (3) subjects with minimum CGPA 2.5, or
- Pass Foundation with minimum CGPA 2.5, or
- Any academic qualification equivalent to Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) with minimum CGPA 2.0, or
- Pass any Diploma/Bachelor Degree with minimum CGPA 2.5 (Credit transfer are allow for Basic Medical Science/ Behavioural Science) Equivalent MQF Level 4/Level 6, or
- Diploma in Nursing with minimum CGPA 2.5 and Registered with the Nursing Council of the country of origin And Possess current Temporary Practicing Certificate (TPC) for registered nurses from MNB before clinical placement

This programme provides an excellent foundation for graduates to practice in healthcare or health-related organisations. It is a virtual passport to work anywhere in the world as there is a worldwide demand for nurses with strong educational and clinical expertise. The Bachelor of Nursing (Honours) degree will also enable graduates to access further academic studies at the master’s and doctoral levels in clinical specialties, education, management and research, which will also open doors to various types of career opportunities for graduates.
