In the endeavour to strengthen the national agenda of science, technology, and social innovation towards a harmonious, prosperous and progressive as well as a sustainable Malaysia, UCSI University launched the Tan Sri Omar Abdul Rahman Centre for Science, Technology, and Innovation (STI) Policy Studies. Essentially, the formation of this centre is to champion the agendas related to STI. 

The STI scene in Malaysia needs to connect with the society to ensure changes took effect. Thus, renowned academics and public figures, who are also members of this Centre, will put forward cogent ideas periodically to quintessentially bring out the essence of STI policies in blogs. Topics will include STI policies and stories related to environment, sustainability, social policy, national integration, economics, trade, and regional integration, among others.
