FAS BIOTECHNOLOGY STUDENT WINS BEST POSTER PRIZE AT THE 30TH INTERVARSITY BIOCHEMISTRY SEMINAR.

Won the Best Poster prize at the 30th Intervarsity Biochemistry Seminar (IBS) held on 4th May 2019 at University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus. The annual IBS is organized by the Malaysian Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (MSBMB) and involves participants from 15 public and private universities.

Winning 2nd place in the Intervarsity Palm Oil Quiz Competition organised by Malaysia Palm Oil Council (MPOC). It was held on 18th April 2019 during CEO Day at UPM in conjunction with Love MY Palm Oil Campaign. The campaign was launched by Prime Minister Tun Dr. Mahathir.

ASSISTANT PROFESSOR DR LIM WEI HONG AWARDED THE CHARTERED ENGINEER

Assistant Professor Dr Lim Wei Hong | Faculty of Engineering, Technology and Built Environment

It was an honour for Assistant Professor Dr Lim Wei Hong, lecturer from Department of Mechanical and Mechatronic Engineering, Faculty of Engineering when he was awarded the Chartered Engineer qualification through the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) on June 13, 2019.

This achievement also enables him to be registered by the Engineering Council, United Kingdom and authorised to use the title of Chartered Engineer.

DR GANESHSREE WINS NATIONAL OUTSTANDING YOUNG EDUCATOR AWARD 2019

UCSI University’s Faculty of Business and Information Science (FoBIS) deputy dean Associate Professor Dr Ganeshsree Selvachandran recently won the National Outstanding Young Educator Award 2019 (fuzzy computing and artificial intelligence) at a prestigious awards ceremony held to recognise the contributions of private educators in the nation.

If there is one thing that Assistant Professor Dr Quek Shio Gai has proven to us, it is that development disorders such as autism should never become a stumbling block to success. The lecturer from UCSI University’s Faculty of Business was first diagnosed with autism at a very young age, which was also around the same time where he showed interest and aptitude in mathematics.
