May 2014 Intake Orientation

KUALA LUMPUR: UCSI University welcomed its new intake of students for the May 2014 semester during the recent orientation.

With a whopping number of at least 740 new students, the welcoming ceremony kicked off with a classical line-up from the Institute of Music.

Both students and parents alike were then greeted with a warm welcome by UCSI Vice-Chancellor and President Senior Professor Dato’ Dr Khalid Yusoff, UCSI University Alumni Association President Mr Simon Teng and Student Council President Mr Harsoneljit Singh.

To help the new joiners adapt to their new surroundings, the event provided the ideal platform for the students to not only learn about the University but also engage in fun games, ice-breaking sessions and U-LifeFM – a session where juniors can meet their seniors in their respective programmes.

Putting the spotlight on student life at UCSI, the event was full of facilitators who had donned their event and club T-shirts, and exhibition boards showcasing past events and activities to give the students a sneak peek into the latest happenings at the campus.

It is worthy to note that the event is the first orientation to have an orientation camp for new students, which hopes to establish friendships between seniors and juniors, and enhance the student experience at UCSI.
