UCSI (University College Sedaya International) recently signed a Memorandum of Agreement with the Institute of Commerce and Management (ICM) from Medan, Indonesia.
ICM was established in 2000, with a vision to provide high quality education to the Indonesian population, especially the residents in North Sumatera.
Managing Director of ICM, Ooi Suk Lie represented ICM, while Vice President of Corporate Affairs, Chin Peng Kit signed on behalf of UCSI.
The agreement covers a franchise of the 2+1 business programmes done in partnership with UCSI, which include the Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Business Administration, Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Computing, Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Business Information System and UCSI’s Foundation programme.
According to Chin, this is a good development for UCSI since it became a University. "We will continue to pursue international partnerships like this in line with our country’s vision to be a regional hub for educational excellence," he said.
Ooi added that ICM constantly endeavors to expand, improve and upgrade its educational system and campus environment to meet the challenges of providing quality education.
"ICM is gearing towards creating a smart and active learning environment using information technology and advanced state of the art facilities," she said. "We have a large student population, since we began operations in 2000."
ICM currently has developed opportunities for students to acquire professional academic qualification, offered in partnership with acclaimed universities such as UCSI (University College of Sedaya International) in Malaysia and HuaQiao University, Xiamen, China for its Mandarin Language and Cultural.
