UCSI University Alumni Mastering the Art of Chinese Tea Drinking

Kuala Lumpur, 11th February 2012 - A group of UCSI University alumni members and students attended a talk on 'The Art of Chinese Tea Drinking,' held at the University's Alumni House today. This is the fifth talk organised by the Alumni Network thus far.

The speakers invited were Mr Tony Chen and Mr Robert Phua, Chinese Tea aficionados who are passionate to share their hobby with young people through proper tea education.

To kick off the talk, the participants were first introduced to the proper method of tea drinking and some of the benefits of its consumption.

The talk got more exciting towards the second part of the programme, as the participants learnt how to brew a good cup of tea, the use of appropriate tea utensils, and the proper etiquette of drinking tea.

The participants found the talk to be enriching, as the session was interactive and both speakers shared their knowledge with ease. In addition, all participants had the opportunity to taste the myriad of intricate Chinese Tea flavors available.

Through this event, all participants have enriched themselves with new knowledge in tea drinking, apart from a good time of networking.

An initiative by the UCSI University Alumni Network, the Lifelong Learning Talks Series is organised with the aim to help our Alumni and students in their personal, social and professional development with expert speakers roped in to share their expertise and experiences.
