Areas of Interest
Lim Hoong Bee is an assistant professor at the Institute of Music, UCSI University, where she teaches courses in composition and music technology. She holds a Bachelor of Music in Film Scoring from Berklee College of Music and a Master of Music Technology from the University of Newcastle.
Following her studies, Lim worked in Los Angeles composing music for feature films, short films and commercials. Her score for the short film 'Have You Ever Thought About It' received the Spirit of Moondance Award at the Moondance Film Festival.
At UCSI, she is actively involved in teaching and mentoring young composers, and frequently serves as a jury member for music competitions. Her professional interests include film scoring, songwriting, orchestration, commercial music, arranging and music technology.
