Career Talk By LF Logistics

The aim of this career talk was to enlighten all logistics and supply chain students on their career paths in the logistics field.  Organised by the Logistics Student Association (LSA) of UCSI University, two speakers were invited from LF Logistics. They were Head of Human Resource, Michelle Yeoh and Senior Manager of Operations, Vincent Cheang who shared their experiences and industrial expectations in the logistics field.

The invited speakers shared opportunities for student career development in LF Logistics. This included the Internship Programme, Fresh Graduate Programme and the 2019 Global Management Trainee.

Apart from that, their talks highlighted the importance of logistics activities and included the sharing of experiences and history of the LF group. The LF group evolved when they ventured into the garment business and handled major branded goods like Nike and other brands. In their talks they also explored the various perspectives of logistics such as customers, quality certifications, branches, business models and core activities of supply chains.

This business model used by LF Logistics played an important role in connecting and integrating the quality in the logistics and supply chain industry. The talk benefited all participants who attended the event. With a connection and collaboration of both academic and industrial links, it is believed that this programme imparted a lot of new knowledge especially on the career path of being a senior logistics executive to the students.

This talk created a platform for students to develop their knowledge and prepare for their future career path according to their interests. The session ended with Q & A session and a group photo.
