A native of Albania, Ergys graduated from the Royal Conservatory of Music in the Hague with a Master’s with Distinction and has 30 years of experience in performing and teaching. Besides having played with the Folkwang Kammerorchester in Germany, he has also played with the Rotterdam Philharmonic and later, Malaysian Philharmonic (2007–2015), where he successfully auditioned for the concertmaster position in 2014. Ergys currently plays actively with the Kamerata KL and a part-time lecturer at the UCSI University.
