Kuala Lumpur, 27 October 2003 - UCSI (University College Sedaya International) emerged as a winner of the Human Resources Minister Award 2003 during the National HRD Conference & Exhibition 2003 at the Sunway Pyramid Convention Centre on 21 & 22 October 2003.

Receiving the award from Deputy Human Resources Minister, Datuk Dr Haji Abdul Latiff bin Ahmad, was Chin Peng Kit of UCSI.

The award was to acknowledge companies, which have made significant contributions and achievements in the field of human resource development.

According to Chin, who is the Vice President of Corporate Affairs, the award showed that UCSI has been in the forefront in human resource development. "We have been upholding our commitment to provide training for our staff to ensure that they are being trained in their respective fields in our efforts to upgrade their level of professionalism at work, and this will naturally improve the quality of teaching these staff will then carry on into our University classroom,"he said.

This is the third year such event is jointly-organised by the Ministry of Human Resources and the Human Resource Development Corporation (HRDC).
