7 MarIndustrial Visit to MASkargo Sdn. Bhd.
| SEPANG, Mar 7, 2013: UCSI University's Logistics Student Association (LSA) recently organised a successful industrial visit to MASkargo Sdn Bhd, which saw a total of 78 participants comprising Diploma in Logistics Management and Bachelor of Arts (Hons) Logistics Management students. The trip was led by Mr. Mohamed Syazwan Ab Talib, Mr. Ho Min Yoong and Mr. Irwin Teguh Satya Hidayat from the Faculty of Business & Information Science. Upon arrival at the state-of-the-art Advance Cargo Centre (ACC) at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport within a Free Commercial Zone (FCZ), guests received a warm welcome from controller (Public Affairs) of MASkargo Sdn Bhd Mr. Muhammad Aniz Mohd Azmi. Mr. Muhammad then proceeded to guide them to the multipurpose hall, where participants joined cargo operations manager Mr. Abdul Wahab for an interactive presentation on the supply chain of an air cargo business. This educational tour was indeed an eye-opener for the participants as they were given rare opportunities to be exposed to and experience how an IATA Secure Freight Programme certified company operates. The visit concluded with a tour around the warehouse, perishable units and the first six-star Animal Hotel in the world, among others. It is fair to say that the participants took away much valuable insight and developed a deeper understanding of how the global brand "Keeps Business Moving" when they left ACC premises. | |
