Biography

Malaysian violinist Lee Sing Hong has performed as soloist with Perugia Festival Orchestra and Taipei Philharmonic Youth Orchestra, appearing in concerts throughout Taiwan, Italy, and the United States. An avid chamber musician, Mr. Lee has won top prizes at the National Chamber Music Competition of Taiwan, Boston Conservatory Honors Chamber Music Competition, as well as Lyric Chamber Music Competition. Mr. Lee was a participant in music festivals such as Heifetz Institute, Green Mountain Chamber Music Festival, Castleton Music Festival, and Music Fest Perugia. He has been a member of the Taipei Philharmonic Youth Orchestra, Boston Philharmonic Youth Orchestra, Brevard Symphony, and South Florida Symphony. Mr. Lee has performed under the batons of Fabio Luisi, Rafael Payare, Lorin Maazel, Benjamin Zander, and Christopher Confessore. He has also collaborated with esteemed artists including Christopher O’Riley, George Li, Inmo Yang, Elmar Oliveira, Yu-Chien Tseng, Joseph Silverstein, Hugh Jackman, and Kathleen Battle. Mr. Lee was a faculty of violin performance at Lynn Conservatory Preparatory school. He was also a faculty member of Wolfgang Violin Studio in Singapore, where he nurtured more than 50 students of various levels.

Mr. Lee studied at The Boston Conservatory and Lynn Conservatory with full scholarships. His teachers included Dr. Vincent Chao, Lynn Chang, Elmar Oliveira, and Carol Cole. He has also worked with esteemed artists such as Pamela Frank, Joseph Silverstein, Elmar Oliveira, Daniel Heifetz, Robin Sharp, as well as members of the Arianna, Emerson, Leipzig, St. Lawrence, and Lydian Quartets.
