LF Logistics Industrial Visit


The Logistics Student Association (LSA) of UCSI University had the opportunity to organise an industrial visit to LF Logistics on 18th September 2018. LF logistics operates an extensive logistics network around the world and its real competitive strength lies in people.

It collaborates closely with over 400 brand owners to provide tailor-made warehousing solutions. LF Logistics provides reliable, intelligent and cost-efficient freight forwarding services to meet the needs of customers’ evolving businesses.

LF Logistics operates across countries including Malaysia. The other operating sites include Bangladesh, China, Korea, India, Thailand, Taiwan, Vietnam, USA, UK, Singapore, Portugal, Phillipines, Pakistan, Cambodia, Turkey and Guatemala.

LF Logistics has also gained many awards such as “The Innovation and Development Award” by Minor Food in the Supplier Conference of 2017 (Thailand), the “Excellent in Organisation Development Award” at the HR Innovation Awards 2016 and the “Best Logistics Partner Award” from Braun (China).

Clients of LF Logistics are such as Starbucks, Kerry and other organisations where it provides services of Distribution Channel Management, Transport Management, Freight Forwarding, Hubbing and Consolidation, Omni-Channel Services, Order Management Services and Value Added Services.

Students were exposed to the organisational behaviour and practices of action in LF Logistics which make them successful. Aside from that, skills in managing warehouses with proper, safe material handling, practices to enable safe working environment and procedures on safety of the materials, workers and warehouse were also highlighted.

This visit was successful and informative as it shed light on the logistics operations towards warehouse engagement, and its application in the corporate world. The visit to LF logistics acted as bridge towards industry engagement. Hence, students and participants were able to enhance their understanding and knowledge relevant to logistics courses offered at UCSI University.

This event ended with a Q and A session, a token of appreciation given to the representative of LF and a group photo.
